Certified clinic of the global implant network Zaga Center
ZAGA CENTER is a worldwide network of dental specialists in the field of zygomatic implants (implants in the jawbone), and was founded in Barcelona, Spain in 2015, with a set of specialized courses. Only dentists who have mastered all of these can become ZAGA CENTER certified facilities.
GDH IMPLANT OFFICE SAPPORO is “ZAGA CENTER SAPPORO” that is one of only two Zaga Center certified clinics in Japan.

A Wide Range of Implant Treatments Tailored to Your Oral Condition
At our clinic, we offer a variety of implant treatments tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
Partial Implant Treatment
For patients who have lost some teeth, we provide partial implant treatment to restore both function and aesthetics. We place an appropriate number of implants and attach customized artificial teeth, allowing patients to regain natural chewing ability and an attractive smile.
Full-Arch Implant Treatment: “All-on-4”

The “All-on-4” treatment involves placing four implants in the upper or lower jaw to support a full-arch prosthesis. This method allows for the support of all teeth with a minimal number of implants, reducing both physical and financial burdens compared to traditional treatments.
Features and Benefits of All-on-4
Full-arch restoration with fewer implants:
With a minimum of four implants, up to 12 teeth can be supported, making it an efficient treatment option.
Reduced physical burden:
Fewer implants mean shorter surgery times and reduced physical strain for patients.
Cost-effectiveness:
Because fewer implants are required, the cost is generally lower compared to conventional implant treatments.
Immediate provisional teeth placement:
Temporary teeth can be fixed onto the implants on the same day of surgery, allowing patients to achieve a beautiful appearance and regain chewing function quickly.
Avoidance of bone grafting:
By tilting the implants in areas with insufficient bone, treatment can proceed without the need for bone grafting.
All-on-4 Zygoma Implants

For patients with severe bone loss in the upper jaw, even the All-on-4 treatment may require bone grafting. In such cases, dentures may need to be used for 6 months to a year after implant placement. However, with zygoma implants, implants are anchored in the cheekbone (zygoma), eliminating the need for bone grafting. This allows for the immediate placement of fixed provisional teeth on the same day of surgery, significantly reducing the reliance on dentures and enabling an early return to normal oral function.

Medical equipment for complex surgery
At GDH Implant Office Sapporo, we are committed to creating a clinic that offers the highest quality medical care and service. We strive to ensure that all visitors can feel safe and relaxed during their visits.
Unique Facilities as an Implant Center in Hokkaido
Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber

For patients undergoing surgeries such as All-on-4 or zygomatic implants, which can be demanding due to bone conditions or physical stress, we offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to enhance the success rate of implants. We have adopted a hyperbaric oxygen chamber that is utilized by many universities and hospitals and is the only one in Japan with academic data, ensuring safety.
Hybrid Operating Room

Our implant-specific operating room is designed solely to pursue precision and safety in implant surgeries. We have adopted a hybrid operating room that allows CT imaging within the surgery room, making it the second of its kind nationwide and the only one in Hokkaido. This enables us to perform implant surgeries in a world-class environment. This well-established surgical system allows fellow dental professionals to confidently refer their valued patients to us.

The Process of Implant Treatment
① CT Scan Examination
Before beginning any treatment, a comprehensive CT scan is conducted to assess the patient’s jawbone structure, density, and to identify the precise location for implant placement. This step is crucial for planning the implant surgery with accuracy and ensuring the best possible outcome.
② Consultation
During your consultation with the patient, we will explain in detail the goals of the treatment, expected results, and possible risks and complications. We also listen to the patient’s health status and treatment expectations and adjust the treatment plan.
③ Treatment decision
The final treatment plan will be determined based on the CT scan results and counseling. At this stage, we will also confirm the type and number of implants, treatment schedule, and cost.
Please rest assured that payment will only be made after you are satisfied with the treatment plan.
④ Preoperative Preparation
This involves preparing the patient for surgery, which may include any necessary dental work to improve oral health, as well as instructions on how to prepare for the day of the surgery. The aim is to ensure the patient’s mouth is in optimal condition before implant placement to enhance the success of the procedure.
⑤ Implant Surgery
The implant surgery is performed under local anesthesia, where a titanium post (the implant) is precisely placed into the jawbone at the predetermined location. This procedure requires skilled technique and precision to ensure the implant is correctly positioned for optimal function and aesthetics.
⑥ Healing Period
After the surgery, a period of healing (osseointegration) is required, during which the jawbone grows around and bonds with the surface of the implant. This process is critical for providing a strong foundation for the new tooth and can take several months.
⑦ Abutment and Prosthesis Fitting
Once the implant has successfully integrated with the jawbone, an abutment is attached to the implant. This serves as the connection point for the crown, bridge, or denture (the prosthesis) that will be placed on top of it. The prosthesis is custom-made to match the patient’s natural teeth in color and shape, restoring functionality and aesthetics.
⑧ Maintenance
After the implant and prosthesis have been placed, regular follow-up visits are necessary to monitor the implant’s condition and to ensure the health of the surrounding tissue. Proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are essential for maintaining the longevity and success of the implant.
